When I grow up I want to be Fermín Jiménez. I want to be always happy and be so cool as him.
I want to take life as a game. To be broke but to take it as easy as Fermín does. Relativization as a rule. Make everything lighter. Make life weightless.
There are some people who live to work; some work to live; and there are others who live as Fermín Jiménez.

WHEN I GROW UP I WANT TO BE
FERMÍN JIMÉNEZ

talks about the necessity to work in today´s society, the imposition -usually a social one- of dedicating more hours to labor than to any freely chosen activity: leisure, family, etc. It´s about how we never stop producing, generating, creating, even in a world reap with surpluses. Ironically, requests about the need for more free time are made, when it´s the only thing that many people have nowadays.

WHEN I GROW UP I WANT TO BE
FERMÍN JIMÉNEZ

it´s an ode to free time, to boredom, to live with tranquility and good humor, to take things with ease and with creativity. It´s an ode to life, to the enjoyment life, friends, family, hobbies, things that really make us feel fulfilled. It´s a theatrical intend to emulate Fermín Jiménez, an artist, who is a friend of the group, that knows how to live better than us.
